I have a '12 Mustang that came with the low end sound system, so I went about changing it out. The first thing I did was to add an amp, line converter (to retain the stock head unit, for now), and two 10 inch Alpine subs in a big ol' wood unported box that I had laying around.
For the last year I dealt with that big turd rolling around in the trunk during aggressive driving, tearing the wires out of the amp, and above all, sounding like crap.
Years ago I used one of these Thunderform boxes in a Camaro I had and was very happy with it, so I decided to bite the bullet and spend the money on the one for this Mustang.
The fit is just "okay." The one I had in my Camaro fit quite snugly in the space provided using factory fasteners to hold it in. This one is kind of loose and must be screwed to the car.
