This past summer we relocated the radio on our boat from the cabin to the helm or (dash) so we could more more easily use our iPod. There are three steps leading up past the helm to the bow of the our boat. The our kids enjoy climbing up the on to the swim platform at the stern of the boat soaking, dripping wet walking through the cockpit climbing up steps next to the helm within a foot of the radio covered by the Pyle Water Resistant Radio Shield and then jumping off the bow only to swim around and start all over again and again. The Pyle Water Resistant Radio Shield worked flawlessly! I recommend sealing the backing plate of the radio to the dash or water will dip into radio. The shield only covers the face of the radio but does have a foam rubber type seal that keeps the water from leaking between the shield and face plate of the radio.
